Jean Ann "Jeanie" Coleman was born November 6, 1944 to Jack and Nellie Collins in Perryton. Jeanie's early years were spent on the family farm and attending school in Booker. After her graduation Jeanie attended business school in Oklahoma City. While in Oklahoma City she met and married Augustus Delano Fite, to this union was born a daughter Denise Ann Fite. The family made their home in Gary, Indiana and Miami, Florida.
Jeanie returned to the Booker and lived her life to the fullest, she ventured out in many occupations such as a nurse, waitress and even a cross country truck driver. She was unique person and strong willed.
Jeanie passed away from this life on October 9, 2011 in Perryton, she is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her daughter Denise and husband Carlos Segura of Perryton; grandchildren Trevor Jay Fossand of Dallas, and Caitlen June Fossand of Lubbock; an aunt Marjorie Stollings; a uncle David Stollings and wife Edna; two sisters Linda Osborne of Perryton and Evelyn Vaughn of Belle Vista, Arkansas; and a brother Bill Collins of Booker; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday October 13 in the Booker United Methodist Church with Pastor David Hearon, and Pastor Terry Lowe officiating. Interment will be immediately after in the Heart Cemetery under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service Booker, TX.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Panhandle Cancer Society, Ochiltree General Hospice, or the Booker United Methodist Church.
