Fern Burch

Vinita Fern Burch was born January 15, 1933 in Beaver County, Oklahoma to Leo and Esther (Hoover) Slovacek. Fern was raised on the family farm and attended and graduated school in Booker.

On April 22, 1950 she married Bill Burch, their family moved many different places following the oil patch, but then made their home in Booker.

Fern and Bill ran and operated Abco Plumbing Company and Bill's Rooter Service while they lived Canoga Park, CA, then they retired. Outside of work and being a loving mother and wife Fern liked to read and garden, but it was her children and grandchildren that brought her the most enjoyment in life.

Fern passed away on March 27, 2012 in Amarillo, she is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, and three brothers; Cecil, Clive and Brownie Slovacek.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday March 31, 2012 in the First United Methodist Church in Booker, with Pastor David Hearon officiating. Interment will be in Heart Cemetery under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service Booker, Texas.

Survivors include: a daughter Cathy Aylor and husband Lynn of Booker; a son Coy Burch of Apple Valley, CA; six grandchildren Candice Moore of Canyon, TJ Moore of Granite, OK, Stacy Burch of Booker, Peggy Burch - Bayne of Simi Valley , CA, Ricky Burch of Apple Valley, CA and Billy Burch of Booker; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

The family requests memorial donations be made to BSA Hospice at 721 North Taylor Amarillo, TX 79107.
