I was so sad to hear on the local news Phillip's passing. I live in Indianapolis and cried the day he was injured at the mall and have always hoped he recovered from his injuries. All the good people of Indianapolis felt the pain of that day, such a tragic accident. Please accept my deepest sympathies and know that your neighbors to the north are with you in support at this sad time. God Bless Phillip always. Amanda

You don't know me, I'm just a man in the Indianapolis area that remembered the story of what happened to you here back in 2009. I don't really know why, but I felt that I had to say something in your memory. I have certainly been moved to tears several times by your story. I also have a son and your passing so deeply touched my heart. My son is in the army and I think of him (and his safety) often - as I know in my heart your parents thought of you often. Just looking at your picture, I can tell that you were a fine young man and I know that God has some good plans for you. I have a very fine brother named Dwight that I'm very certain is also in heaven - I hope you can meet him.

So I would like to say - God bless you and your journey into the afterlife young man. I am so sorry that you had to go through all of this, life is hard - harder for some than others... but you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

May God bless and keep you always.

My mother and I had just arrived at the Mall when the EMT's were tending your son. We prayed fervently for him to be O.K. and that he be healed. In the month's that followed, we continued to pray and ask for strength for your family. The congregation I go to here in Lafayette did the same thing and we prayed and some even asked for updates. It is with heavy heart that my mom emailed me saying that Phillip had passed away. I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for you all during this time and that the Lord will allow you strength as you go through this.

Sincerely, Katherine Long Indiana FFA 2004-20011
