Fay Schoenhals was born on February 6, 1928 in Forgan, Oklahoma to Joseph and Ruth (Messner) Robins, she grew up in the Logan area where she attended elementary and middle school. For her high school years, Fay attended and graduated from Darrouzett High School.

On February 6, 1948 Fay married George Schoenhals in the St. John's Congregational Church near Follett, and Fay stated that was the most exciting day of her life. After their marriage, they settled and made their home in Darrouzett, TX.

Throughout her life, Fay always gave her time willingly - working, volunteering, and always being a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She helped with the local Cub Scouts, she was a charter member of the Darrouzett VIP's, and taught Sunday School for many years.

Fay passed from this life on January 17, 2012 in Booker. She is preceded in death by her husband George, her parents, and a sister Alta Mae Phillips.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM in the Darrouzett First United Methodist Church with Pastor Dan Carter and Pastor David Mc Gaughy officiating. Interment will be at the Darrouzett Cemetery under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker, TX.

Survivors include: three sons and their wives Lyndon and Carol Schoenhals of Lubbock, TX, Monty and Heidi Schoenhals of Canyon, TX, and Warren and Lynette Schoenhals of Laverne, OK; two brothers Jackie Robins and wife Marilyn of Darrouzett, and Chester Robins of Olathe, KS; three sisters Lois Bechthold of Booker, Joan Kamp and husband Verl of Slapout, OK, and Wanita Millsap and husband Chuck of Liberal; grandchildren Timothy Schoenhals and mother Beverley Lacock, Shelley and Ian Barba, Adriel and Natasha Schoenhals, Liesl and Kyle Parks, Kirsten Schoenhals, Mandi Schoenhals, Mollie Schoenhals, David Schoenhals, Dillon Schoenhals; and two great- grandchildren Enoch Schoenhals and Tirzah Schoenhals.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Darrouzett in care of Good Samaritan Funeral Service P.O. Box 341, Booker, TX, 79005.
